Winter is expected to be mild and dry in Oklahoma.

After Thanksgiving, meteorological winter will begin on Dec. 1, and Oklahoma is expected to have a mild and dry winter. Therefore the drought has reached extreme levels in most of the state.

The U.S. Drought Monitor last updated its data on Oct. 15, and several areas of Oklahoma are experiencing extreme, severe and moderate droughts, while others are abnormally dry.
