The Best Free Things for Kids to Do in Amarillo This Summer
· NewsTalk 1290Ok, you're all settled into summer break now, right? So settled in that it seems the kids have already crammed in everything there is to do in Amarillo and Canyon, and now you're getting the "I'm bored" complaints, right?
I feel you, 100%. The problem is the kids keep wanting to spend money, but they've already spent a bunch of it. You're running skinny in the bank account. Well, how about I hop in and give you some freebies you can take advantage of here in Amarillo?
Free Activities For The Summer
There are always so many different things the kiddos can do during the summer, and the best part is, some of these activities that normally cost money can be free...if you know how to go about getting them for free.
Just in Amarillo alone, I know of six different things that can keep the kiddos busy and even get them something for free. Sounds like a win-win, doesn't it? Let's take a look at the different things that can be done for free.
The List Of Freebies
Look, we want to make sure the kids are staying up on learning, right? So, a couple of these are wrapped around reading, but there are freebies that come with it. Barnes & Noble will hook up your 1st through 6th grader with a free book, while Panda Express will get them a free kids' meal if they complete the program.
These reading programs don't work for high schoolers, so Planet Fitness is back with their High School Summer Pass for the kiddos aged 14-19. Yes, it's free and will help those kids stay in shape rather than waste away playing video games.
Looking for some serious fun? The Kids Bowl Free program is back, and Western Bowl is your location in Amarillo. You still have to pay for the shoes, but hey, free games of bowling? Let's get it.
