There are people in our area who just don't have the skills that you do to fix those broken items. Put that knowledge to good use and help those who don't have that ability. You will feel good about helping others.

The Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a Repair Cafe in April. That is when people will bring those broken items and hope that they can get them repaired. What is needed right now are those with the skills to fix. Fix-It Experts are needed for this upcoming event.

Repair Café returns next month to Warford Activity Center! Would you like to help us out?
Repair Café is a 50 & Better event where those from the community can come to Warford in-person to receive help in getting a beloved item or two repaired at no cost by our repair experts: generous volunteers over the age of 50.

Skills Wanted: From Sewing to Small Appliances

If you are over 50 and have the know-how, they are looking for experts at fixing:

  • Sewing/clothing/textile
  • Bicycles
  • Small appliances
  • Furniture/wooden items
  • Computers/electronics
  • Knife sharpening

Investing just a few hours of your time can help your neighbors clear out the clutter and restore their favorite items. How great they will feel with a working item, and how great you will feel for being the solution.
