Texas is so close to getting snow, we can feel it, literally; my toes feel like icicles as I currently type this article.  

South Texas usually gets the short end of the stick when it comes to snow. North Texas gets the winter wonderland while South Texas gets the leftover trickles of snowflakes.

However, South Texas might finally get some snow, and SOON!

Will it snow in Texas?

An arctic blast of cold weather will make its way across Texas this week. According to Weather.gov you ca expect temperatures to drop below freezing. Snow showers are expected to happen between Sunday and Tuesday.

Heating your home safely.

When the cold weather hits heaters come out and thermostats go up. However, as people begin to heat their homes, the risk of fires tends to spike. According to Annette V. Ponce, the fire marshal for Victoria Fire Department, "Most of these fires happen in homes without central heating systems as residents turn to other heat sources."
