Gall & Gall, Etos websites back online a week after a "cybersecurity incident"
The websites of Gall & Gall and Etos have been back online since Sunday evening, meaning customers can once again place online orders. Like those belonging to Albert Heijn, the websites had been unavailable for a week due to a major "cybersecurity incident" at parent company Ahold Delhaize.
Drugstores' and liquor stores' apps are not yet available. The Albert Heijn website and app have been online again since Sunday afternoon. Customers now have access to bonus offers, recipes, and loyalty promotions. Ordering the groceries online is expected to be possible once again starting Friday.
The cause of the incident remains unclear. Albert Heijn says it has no indications that any personal data was stolen. Ahold Delhaize switched systems off as a precaution.
“We cannot make any statements at this time about further details of the investigation into the nature and cause of the cybersecurity incident,” the supermarket chain said on its website on Sunday.
The incident led to supply issues at Albert Heijn, which caused empty shelves in parts of the Netherlands. Supermarkets are now reportedly being restocked according to the normal schedule.
