Schiphol security workers to strike over workload, longer queues expected
Schiphol security workers are planning a series of brief strikes and work-to-rule actions, CNV said. FNV will join the actions. CNV negotiator André Quist warned that the stoppages could cause somewhat longer waiting times at the airport as the busy summer travel season comes to an end.
The unions had previously given Schiphol and the three security firms an ultimatum, but say no concrete steps have been promised to ease the heavy workload for security staff. CNV warned that workers could stage longer strikes later if the companies fail to make commitments.
