Sunshine, chilly mornings & warm afternoons forecast for the Netherlands this week
After an Easter weekend with strong winds, clouds, and showers, Easter Monday and the rest of the week will be much more pleasant. Weeronline expects plenty of sunshine, but warns that temperatures will vary widely between the early morning and the afternoon.
Easter Monday will have plenty of sunshine, with some cumulus clouds developing in the afternoon. Early in the morning, temperatures will range between 2 and 5 degrees, but the sun will gradually warm the air. By late morning, thermometers will read 9 to 12 degrees, and maximums will eventually climb to between 11 and 15 degrees, north to south.
The night into Tuesday will be virtually cloudless and cold, with minimums dropping to between freezing and 3 degrees Celsius. Ground frost will occur in many places.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry and very sunny. Maximums will climb to 14 to 17 degrees on Tuesday, with a moderate wind from the east to northeast. Wednesday will have a light to moderate wind, and maximum temperatures may hit 20 degrees in the southern half of the country. The rest of the country will see highs of between 14 and 18 degrees.
On Thursday and Friday, a few showers are possible, but Weeronline still expects plenty of sunshine. Thursday’s maximums will range between 14 and 19 degrees, and Friday will be a bit cooler at 12 to 16 degrees.
“Next weekend, there is a high chance of dry weather with plenty of sunshine,” Weeronline said. The temperature forecast is still very uncertain. “The average scenario predicts highs of 12 to 16 degrees and lows around 5 degrees. Colder weather with highs around 10 degrees and lows close to freezing, as well as milder weather with highs around 20 degrees, cannot be ruled out.”
