Next week to bring mild spring weather with sunshine, clouds and passing rain

A mix of dry conditions, sunshine, cloud cover, and intermittent showers is expected across the Netherlands in the coming days, with temperatures ranging from about 5 to 17 degrees as a generally mild spring pattern continues.

According to weeronline, Sunday afternoon is expected to remain mostly dry nationwide, with a mix of sunshine and high clouds. In the northwest, conditions are relatively sunny with only thin veils of cloud. Inland areas also see considerable sunshine at first, but cirrus clouds will gradually thicken, and cumulus clouds will develop later in the day. One of these taller cloud formations could produce a localized shower, though most areas will stay dry. A weakening southerly wind will accompany highs of around 14 degrees along coastal areas and up to 16 degrees inland.

During the evening and overnight period, conditions will remain dry for most locations. Cloud cover will increase from the south, and by late night, a localized shower may develop in the southern Netherlands. Temperatures will fall to about 3 to 5 degrees in the east and northeast and 5 to 8 degrees along coastal regions under light winds.

On Monday, a gray and mostly overcast pattern will move in across the country. In the south, light drizzle will be possible in the morning. By the afternoon, scattered rain or light showers may develop in several regions. Temperatures will reach around 14 degrees during drier intervals but will stay lower where rain persists.

Monday evening will remain cloudy with lingering light rain or showers at first. Overnight until Tuesday, conditions will turn dry, and skies will gradually clear from the southwest. In clearer inland areas, temperatures will drop to around 2 degrees.

Tuesday will bring a clear improvement. Morning clouds in the northeast will clear quickly, giving way to widespread sunshine. Inland areas will still see developing cumulus clouds that may briefly reduce the amount of sunshine. Winds will remain light from the west. Highs will reach about 13 degrees along the coast and up to 16 degrees in the central, eastern, and southern parts of the country.

Looking ahead, the rest of the week will remain mostly dry with a mild spring pattern of sun and clouds. Occasional showers will remain possible, while temperatures will rise to around 17 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, with Friday potentially slightly warmer.
