Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen says 'it's been a nightmare' amid Clive's surgery
by Oscar Fisher, Jasmine Allday · Derbyshire LiveAmanda Owen has let slip some fresh revelations about Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen, reporting that after substantial surgery the family is rallying around him. Offering ITV's Lorraine a sneak peek at their up-and-coming series, Our Farm Next Door, Amanda revealed Clive is recuperating well from his hip procedure with steadfast family support.
During a behind-the-scenes chat, Amanda told the team: "There's a lot going on here. It's been a nightmare here. I've got children going to school, I've got children studying and children working and then he comes to me and says he's bored."
Elaborating on the hurdles of his convalescence, she remarked: "He has had a hip replacement and he's a terrible patient. Everybody's just getting on and stuff's getting done but just not how he would like it. But most of the time we don't care."
Coming off an amiable split, both Amanda and Clive are deeply invested in refurbishing an abandoned farmhouse for their new slate, despite undeniably tough weather and assorted hitches as recorded by Yorkshire Live. "This actually belongs to us, whereas Ravenseat is a tenanted farm. This has an amazing history and no one has actually lived here for over 100 years," Amanda disclosed, while Clive added: "There's no road to it at all."
The pair conceded that they were at the mercy of inclement weather, with Amanda adding her thoughts on the matter: "It was never going to be simple. I'm not that much of a twit right? Ask me anything about sheep and I'll tell you what I think about them. Ask me anything hill farming, no problem. Ask me anything about home renovations, not a clue. This is all about the future. It's a big undertaking," reports Lancs Live.
In 2022, Amanda publicly revealed that she and Clive had parted ways, stating at the time: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."
Clive later acknowledged his own faults, admitting that his "anger" was what "drove her away". Together, the couple is parents to nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy, who are either in education, working or still in school.
