Kane Wilson is fit and available for Derby County's trip to Sheffield United this weekend but Liam Thompson, David Ozoh and Tom Barkhuizen are all sidelined.

Wilson picked up a hamstring injury in the win over Middlesbrough last month but has trained this week and is now pushing for a place in the squad.

Derby centre-back Jake Rooney is also making good progress in his return from a knee injury that he picked up in pre-season. But Thompson and Barkhuizen are both out with the former not expected to be back until after the international break.

"Thommo will be out and I think he won't be back before international break. We've got a bit of a dearth in the middle of the park, obviously, and Tom Barkhuizen has got a grade one injury," said Paul Warne.

"It's in a really awkward place so it could be 10 days, could be two weeks, could be worse. Kane Wilson's fine, he's trained. Joe Ward has trained. Corey Blackett-Taylor has trained. Jake Rooney's back on the grass which is good. It would be nice to get him back in the group."
