Rant and Rave: Reader helped after falling ill

by · The Seattle Times

RAVE to two kind women and my friend. The other night, I became very ill at a downtown wine tasting. I was there with a close friend. We sat next to two ladies at a table who, seeing my distress, offered me water and ginger beer. When that failed to help, my friend went to get his car for us to leave. The wonderful ladies helped me out of the venue, got a chair for me to sit outside while we waited for my friend to arrive with the car, stayed with me and then also helped me the half block to the car. My friend drove me home, where I have since recovered. This rave is for the extraordinary kindness of two unknown special women and my outstanding friend who came to my rescue when I most needed it. This reaffirms my view that Seattle people are incredibly helpful in times of need.
