Rant and Rave: Reader appreciates considerate boaters

RAVE to the considerate speedboat on Lake Washington the other morning that slowed to a near stop before creating wakes that can destabilize (retiree) human-powered watercraft. We all share the lake, and with boating season ramping up, those of us prone to flipping over greatly appreciate the courtesy of boats that create wakes.

RANT to Green Lake dog owners. If your dog is triggered by the sight of other dogs, don’t bring them to a place where there are other dogs in abundance! A much larger dog tried to attack my small dog and me the other day while we were passing each other, and the other owner tried to excuse it, saying, “Something must have spooked him.” I just had minor surgery, and my dog pulling on me to try and escape the incoming fangs led to new bleeding. Thanks a lot for ruining an otherwise beautiful Saturday morning.
