Galaxy S27 Chipsets: Samsung Using Exynos and Snapdragon

by · Droid Life

It’s already November, meaning Samsung’s roadmap for which chipsets will power its upcoming lineup of Galaxy S27 devices, should essentially be internally confirmed. Details of the chipsets have apparently leaked, pointing to Samsung utilizing both Exynos and Qualcomm-made Snapdragon processors in 2027.

We expect four different Galaxy S27 models: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. While the Galaxy S27 and S27+ are reported to be powered by the Exynos 2700 with 12GB RAM, the Galaxy S27 Pro is shown to sport the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 with 12GB RAM. The top end device, Galaxy S27 Ultra, will get Qualcomm’s top of the line processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. 12GB RAM is also expected for the S27 Ultra.

As you see, all four models will come with a base of 12GB RAM, but we assume more RAM can be purchased along with the higher storage tiers. That isn’t confirmed though.

Last we heard about chipsets and the Galaxy S27 lineup, both Samsung and Qualcomm were working to resolve overheating issues discovered during internal testing of the new Snapdragon lineup. We hope all of that was resolved.

It will probably be February (around new Galaxy launch time) before we know it, so expect to learn plenty more as we continue to inch closer.
