Here’s the Google Pixel Tag

A new Google Pixel device has landed on our radar this morning, and it’s a bit of a surprise. The Google Pixel Tag appears to be on the way, possibly launching alongside the Pixel 11 series next month.

As is almost always the case these days, early retailer listings have spoiled a Google device, giving us a name, description, and model number. The folks at 9to5Google also got their hands on a picture.

What is the Google Pixel Tag?

The device is being referred to online as the “Google Tag” and “Google Pixel Tag.” It carries a model number of GA12506-WW and will ship in at least one color called “Fog Light.” I’d imagine Google will shorten that to Fog at launch.

Below, one of the retailers provided the following description of the device:

As you can read from that, the Pixel Tag is a smart tracker, like an AirTag, that will help you locate lost items. This is the type of device you attach to a keyring or toss in a bag to keep track of it. It will connect through Android’s Find My Device network.

The device looks like a little puck and is close in shape to the Fitbit Air.

This early listings don’t tell us much more, but at least one is listing a price close to €30. I could see this launching in the US at around $30.
