Following the death of Archimandrite Chrysostomos, rumors spread of an attempt to seize St. Gerasimos Monastery (Deir Hajla). The Patriarchate of Jerusalem says the historic monastery remains under its authority, the monks left voluntarily, and administrative reforms will continue.
