The low-pressure area currently located near the Myanmar Delta coast is forecast to strengthen into a deep depression within the next 36 hours and may cross toward India, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH). Due to the influence of the low-pressure system, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady, Tanintharyi, Kayin, Mon and Rakhine from September 21 to 25.
