Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has announced that it is being forced to reduce baggage allowances for international passengers due to an ongoing shortage of Jet A1 aviation fuel in Myanmar. The airline stated that the continued fuel supply issues have made it necessary to impose stricter baggage limits in order to maintain uninterrupted international flight operations. The decision is also intended to prevent further flight cancellations, similar to those that have already occurred in the domestic aviation market.
