Though this year’s Bread Week challenges are mostly great, the bakers struggle to rise to the occasion, to be the best thing since sliced bread, to eat and leave no crumbs, and all the other bread puns that are still in Noel’s drafts folder.

It’s the first-ever Audience Choice Week, and it’s quickly apparent that putting the game in the hands of the viewing audience is a mistake that can never be made again.
