Google has reportedly restricted Meta’s access to its Gemini model due to severe computing capacity limitations. Informed of the constraints around March 2026, Meta is now unable to purchase or access the full capacity it requires, indirectly bottlenecking its internal development. The shortage has forced Meta to instruct employees to conserve and use AI tokens more efficiently. Furthermore, this capacity crunch isn't isolated to Meta; several other major Google customers are reportedly facing similar AI resource limitations.
