The government has announced a range of visitor facilities for the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort. The measures are aimed at improving access, comfort and movement for invitees and the public.

DMRC has urged Delhi-NCR commuters to use the Metro during the Independence Day full-dress rehearsal on August 13. The appeal comes as security measures and road restrictions are expected to disrupt travel across parts of Delhi.
