Eight members of a Gurugram-based family lost their lives in a hotel fire in Delhi. The family had travelled to the national capital to support an ailing elderly relative who was admitted to an intensive care unit. To stay close to the hospital, they opted to stay in a small hotel or BnB. A fire broke out at the accommodation, resulting in the death of all eight family members present. The elderly patriarch, whose illness brought the family together, remains in the hospital and has reportedly not yet been informed about the devastating loss of his loved ones. India Today spoke to a family member regarding the incident.
