Ultra-long-haul flights are here: Once a journey of 2 weeks will shrink to 22 hours
The journey between Sydney and London that once took two weeks and 40 stops, is set to shrink into a single 22-hour hop between the two cities of the Commonwealth. Australian flag-carrier Qantas is preparing to launch the first direct Sydney-London flight route in 2027 under the Project Sunrise flights. With this, aviation would be entering the era of ultra-long-haul travel.
