No end in sight to spring-like weather in Okanagan, Kamloops
It feels like spring has sprung in Kamloops and the Okanagan and the forecast shows sunny days ahead.“For the last half of February, we saw above normal temperatures with our daytime highs getting into the double digits and that trend has so far continued into March,” Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa Erven told iNFOnews.ca.Kamloops and the Okanagan are expecting highs around 11 Celsius this week with a mix of sun and clouds until Sunday when there is a chance of showers. There is a chance of some rain at lower elevations and snow higher up tonight, March 4.Skiers and snowboarders shouldn’t fear, but anyone driving through mountain passes should stay vigilant.“We do have anywhere from about 5 to 8 centimetres in the forecast for the Coquihalla Summit, a few centimetres in for the Okanagan Connector. And with that, also some snow coming for the higher terrain to at least bring something to the ski resorts tonight into tomorrow morning,” she said.READ MORE: Snowpack below average in Okanagan so far this winterThis…
