The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will install Internet of Things (IoT) devices in 6,000 more borewells owned by the Board by the end of March 2027 to help better monitor water depth, extraction levels, and pump sets. Such devices have already been installed in 1,800 of the Board's 16,000 borewells in phase I, and this will be phase II. Eventually, all the borewells will be fitted with these IoT monitoring devices.
