LPG tanker Shivalik successfully arrives at Mundra Port, Gujarat, after safely crossing the Strait of Hormuz.

The vessel, an Indian-flagged Very Large Gas Carrier operated by the Shipping Corporation of India and chartered to carry LPG for India’s domestic supply network, had earlier crossed the strategic maritime corridor connecting the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea.

LPG tanker Shivalik arrived at Gujarat’s Mundra Port after safely crossing the conflict-hit Strait of Hormuz, following transit clearance from Iranian authorities. Another Indian-flagged LPG carrier, Nanda Devi, is expected to reach Kandla on March 17 with a similar cargo.

The second vessel, Nanda Devi, is expected to arrive at Kandla Port with another large LPG consignment on March 17.
