Tata Sierra Legend Series Launch Price Rs 11.99 L – 16 New Variants, Total 42 On Offer

Five new Legend Series trims add comfort features and fill gaps in Sierra’s price range ahead of the festive season, as monthly sales have eased from their March peak.

Tata Motors has launched the Sierra Legend Series, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Available across petrol and diesel powertrains, the new range comprises Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L.

These additions expand the existing lineup rather than replace it. Sierra’s overall starting price remains Rs 11.49 lakh for the Smart+ petrol manual, while the Legend Series begins Rs 50,000 higher. The focus is on offering additional cabin comfort and convenience features through more closely spaced variants.

What Sierra Legend Series Adds

Pure L starts at Rs 13.79 lakh and brings 17-inch alloy wheels, leatherette interiors, a 10.25-inch infotainment system and eight-speaker audio. Pure L (O), starting at Rs 14.29 lakh, adds a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. That represents a Rs 50,000 premium for the manual versions, while the petrol automatic commands Rs 60,000 more.

Pure+ L starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and adds ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver’s seat, thigh support extender and Boss Mode. Adventure+ L starts at Rs 16.99 lakh and offers the widest powertrain choice, including the Hyperion turbo-petrol automatic at Rs 18.99 lakh.

The lineup retains the 1.5-litre Revotron petrol, 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engines. Six airbags, ESP and all-wheel disc brakes remain standard, according to Tata.

More Variants, Smaller Price Steps

The expanded price list shows how Tata is filling gaps between existing trims. In the petrol manual range, Pure at Rs 13.14 lakh and Pure+ at Rs 14.64 lakh previously had a Rs 1.50 lakh gap. Pure L at Rs 13.79 lakh and Pure L (O) at Rs 14.29 lakh now introduce intermediate steps of Rs 65,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 35,000.

Similarly, the diesel manual range now offers Pure+ at Rs 16.09 lakh, Pure+ L at Rs 16.44 lakh and Adventure at Rs 16.64 lakh. Buyers can therefore move between these variants in increments of Rs 35,000 and Rs 20,000.

Across the supplied price lists, Sierra now has 42 engine-transmission-trim combinations, including 18 Legend Series additions (additionally, Sierra EV has 16 variants on offer), before counting colour-based choices separately. The approach resembles Tata’s extensive Nexon variant strategy: offer more equipment combinations at smaller price intervals to accommodate different budgets. With a Dark Series also expected, Sierra’s lineup could expand further.

Sales Have Declined Since March

The additions arrive as Sierra’s sales momentum has softened. Launched in November 2025, with sales beginning in January 2026, Sierra attracted 70,000 bookings within its first 24 hours. Combined ICE and EV sales reached 55,369 units through August, averaging 6,921 units a month.

Monthly sales peaked at 9,003 units in March, before declining for five consecutive months to 5,622 units in August. That was an 11.14% decline from July and 37.55% below the March peak. Eight completed months of sales remain below the initial booking tally, although bookings and sales are different measures and do not establish the status of individual orders.

Tata introduced the Jubilee Edition in July and has now followed it with the Legend Series. Together, these additions suggest an effort to revive interest ahead of the festive season through more choice and accessible comfort features. Whether the broader lineup translates into stronger volumes will become clearer over the coming months.
