Debutant filmmaker Radhika Bansal’s Meethe Mein Kya Hai is bringing a dose of family warmth to the festive season. After building anticipation with its first two tracks, Jagmaga and Chad De, the makers have unveiled the trailer of the upcoming slice-of-life drama, offering a glimpse into a Diwali reunion filled with laughter, affection and family chaos.

Set at Nani’s (Rohini Hattangadi) home during the Diwali holidays, the Netflix film follows a multigenerational family coming together under one roof. The trailer captures the familiar moments that make festive gatherings special, from tender hugs and playful banter to unexpected surprises that come with having the entire family in one place.

Warm, witty and relatable, Meethe Mein Kya Hai looks at the joys and little complications of family life. With its lived-in setting and an ensemble that brings together seasoned performers and fresh faces, the film aims to strike a chord with audiences across generations. It also offers a gentler alternative to the action-heavy entertainers and broad comedies that often dominate the festive release calendar.

The film stars Rohini Hattangadi, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Abhay Kaul and Tarana Raja, alongside Dalai, Vikram Bakshi, Shivika Rishi, Gaurav K Sharma, Ayuushman Ghai and Kanikka Kapur.

Presented by Utthan Capital and produced by Ajit Mohan, Meethe Mein Kya Hai is written and directed by Radhika Bansal. The film marks her directorial debut, with Bansal reportedly writing the script in under three months and stepping onto a film set for the first time as a director.

Meethe Mein Kya Hai will premiere on Netflix on October 30, offering viewers a family drama centred on togetherness, relationships and the little moments that make the festive season special.
