New Yangon General Hospital provides 24-Hour emergency medical services

New Yangon General Hospital is providing 24-hour emergency medical services for patients, according to the Ministry of Health.

Operating under the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health, Yangon General Hospital is a 200-bed public hospital and also serves as a teaching hospital for the University of Medicine (1), Yangon. The hospital is staffed with professors and specialist physicians in general medicine and general surgery, providing treatment for both medical and surgical patients.

In addition, the hospital has opened specialized units for poisoning cases as well as orthopedics and rehabilitation medicine, and is currently offering related medical services.

The hospital’s specialist outpatient department is open daily, except on public holidays, from 8:00 am. to 12:00 noon and from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. During these hours, patients are examined and treated by professors, department heads, and specialist doctors according to their respective medical fields.
