CI issuance centers for Myanmar migrant workers with work permits to open from February 17
by EMG · Eleven Media Group Co., LtdThe Myanmar Labour Attaché Office in Bangkok announced that the Certificate of Identity (CI) issuance centers for Myanmar migrant workers holding work permits issued by the Thai government will open from February 17.
In order to ensure that Myanmar migrant workers holding work can legally reside and work in Thailand, the two ministries of labor of Myanmar and Thailand will jointly conduct the CI issuance process in Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Surat Thani, Chiang Mai and Chonburi from February 17.
Workers who want to apply for CI can choose the name and date of the center they want to apply for CI by paying the CI book fee of 2,670 baht at the nearest 7-Eleven store. After paying, they can go to the center of their choice with the receipt issued by the 7-Eleven store to apply for CI.
The Labour Attaché Office in Bangkok has informed that the cost of applying for CL will be 2,670 baht, so to avoid unnecessary expenses, the camps will be closed every Monday and on holidays announced by the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok.
