Met Éireann said that maximum temperatures of over 27C are likely, combined with overnight minimum temperatures of over 15C.

Another Status Yellow High Temperature warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Mayo, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly will come into effect at 1pm this afternoon and end at 7am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Uisce Éireann said that its teams are continuing to monitor supplies, manage the network, repair leaks and take targeted action where needed to protect water services for customers.

"While the vast majority of customers across the country are not seeing any impact to their supply, nighttime restrictions are in place on 25 water supplies, out of more than 700 nationwide, as a precaution," the organisation said in a statement.

These are mainly affecting parts of Kilkenny, Tipperary, Donegal, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Meath.
