Resident injured in student house robbery in Amsterdam-Oost

A resident of a student housing complex on Carolina MacGilavrylaan in Amsterdam-Oost was injured early Thursday during an invasion.

The robber got into the apartment at about 3 a.m., the police reported. They said a struggle broke out, with the resident trying to force the suspect out.

The resident was then threatened with a knife, after which the suspects ran away with the stolen items. The resident suffered minor injuries, AT5 reported.

The suspect is described as a man aged between 30 and 40 years old. He reportedly has dark skin and is around 175 centimeters tall. Witnesses are asked to hand over any security camera or dashcam footage to the police.

Officers searched the area but could not find the suspect. Forensic teams collected the evidence, and an investigation has been opened.
