Man, 40s, dies following horror collision in Offaly as Gardai appeal for witnesses

Gardaí confirmed that the man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore on Saturday night. The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, which occurred at approximately 9am on Thursday November 14 on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeegan.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly to any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 8.15am and 9.15am last Thursday morning.
A statement from An Garda Síochána read: “Gardaí at Tullamore continue to investigate a single-vehicle collision, involving a car, on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeenaghan which occurred at approximately 9:00am on Thursday 14th November 2024
“The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, seriously injured in the collision was pronounced deceased at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, last night. The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
“Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 8:15am and 9:15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
