New Tata Safari EV Triple Screen Dashboard Spied – Launch Soon

Safari EV is expected to share Harrier EV’s battery and drivetrain options, while adding three-row seating and a dedicated passenger display

New spy shots of Tata Safari EV reveal its triple-screen dashboard, supporting our earlier report about the upcoming SUV’s cabin upgrade. The illuminated passenger-side display is visible through the front window, alongside the central touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Sierra-style screen layout

Sierra became first Tata car to come with triple screen setup earlier this year. Now the same will be offered with Tata’s flagship SUV soon. The additional screen will distinguish Safari EV from Harrier EV’s two-screen arrangement. Combined with three-row seating, it will also position the SUV against Mahindra XEV 9S. The heavily camouflaged prototype retains Safari’s familiar silhouette, with an upright rear section, roof rails and a roof-mounted spoiler.

Beyond the passenger screen, Safari EV is expected to borrow equipment from Harrier EV, potentially including a digital IRVM with dashcam functionality, a 540-degree camera system, ventilated front seats, JBL audio, Level-2 ADAS and auto park assist. Vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle power sharing are also likely additions.

Battery Options And Range

Safari EV is expected to share Harrier EV’s 65 kWh and 75 kWh batteries, with rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor QWD options. Harrier EV’s certified range stands at 538 km for the 65 kWh version, 627 km for the 75 kWh RWD and 622 km for the 75 kWh QWD. Safari EV could deliver broadly similar figures, although additional weight may affect its final certified range.

The Harrier EV QWD produces 504 Nm, while its 75 kWh battery supports a claimed 20–80% charge in approximately 25 minutes using a suitable 120 kW DC charger. These provide useful benchmarks for Safari EV’s expected capabilities.

Expected Price Around Rs 22–32 Lakh

Harrier EV is currently listed at Rs 21.79 lakh to Rs 30.54 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. Safari EV is expected to command a premium for its additional seating row and equipment. For comparison, the combustion-engine Harrier costs Rs 13 lakh to Rs 26.11 lakh, while Safari ranges from Rs 13.40 lakh to Rs 26.91 lakh.

The starting prices differ by Rs 40,000, while the upper ends of their respective ranges are separated by Rs 80,000. Based on this positioning, Safari EV could start around Rs 22–23 lakh, with higher variants reaching Rs 31–32 lakh. These are estimates based on the existing lineup, rather than confirmed prices.

Electric Version Could Boost Safari Sales

Harrier and Harrier EV together recorded 3,577 units in August 2026, up 15.87% YoY. Safari sold 1,953 units, growing 31.16% over August 2025. An electric version could expand Safari’s buyer base and add to these volumes.

Mahindra XEV 9S, recording around 3,000–4,000 units a month, also indicates demand for three-row electric SUVs. Safari EV will give Tata a direct contender in this space, with pricing and equipment likely to influence its reception. Launch is expected at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2027.
